David J. Kirchner, 58

ADAMS, Mass. —  Longtime Adams resident David John Kirchner, 58, of Adams, passed away peacefully at his home on February 28, 2023. He was born in Pittsfield, on September 15, 1964, the son of Henry Kirchner of Adams and the late Roberta (Urbanek) Kirchner. David attended schools in Adams and graduated from Hoosac Valley High School in 1982. He attended Berkshire Community College where he studied sociology. Later in life he completed the Electrical program at McCann Technical High School. He was last employed as an electrician’s apprentice with David Krzeminski Electric.

David had a very kind heart and enjoyed helping anyone who needed it, doing odd jobs, carpentry or lawncare, among other things. He inherited his love of reading books from his mother, especially science fiction and fantasy. He loved being out in nature, fishing or just walking and listening to the rain.

He leaves his father; his sisters Paula “Sammy” Lee of Brooklyn, NY and Norah Wood of Adams, his nephews and niece John and Matthew Bresett and Summer and Raymond Lee, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Services will be held on Saturday, March 11th at 2:00 PM in the PACIOREK FUNERAL HOME, 13 Hoosac St. Adams. Calling hours will be Saturday from 1:00 PM until the service at the funeral home. Burial will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Adams Free Library, 92 Park St. Adams, MA 01220 (his happy place) in David’s name.

My condolences to Dave's family and friends. I am very saddened to hear and read about this. Dave was a great friend who wouldn't harm a fly. I spent lots of great times with him, especially was he was building a deck at my house. I'm truly heartbroken. Rest in Peace my friend.
