Norma Cutting, 85

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. —  Mrs. Norma (Bliss) Cutting, 85, of Williamstown, died on Tuesday, February 28, 2023, at Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield.

She was born in North Adams on November 25, 1937, a daughter of the late Raymond and Ruth (Grogan) Bliss. She attended schools in North Adams and graduated from Drury High School.

Norma worked as a press operator for many years at the former Excelsior Printing and Engraving in North Adams until she retired.

She was a member of the Stamford Community Church in Stamford, VT.

She is survived by her two daughters, Cristi Charron of North Adams and Debra Alves and her husband Toby of Daytona Beach, FL; five grandchildren, Kayla Cutting, Staci Harrington, Daniel Charron, Toby Alves and Timothy Alves; one great grandson, Logan Williams and by many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by three brothers, Richard, Clifford and Robert Bliss and by three sisters, Betty Smith, Virginia MacDonald and Ann Bliss.

The funeral will be held on Saturday at 1:00 P.M. in the PACIOREK FUNERAL HOME, 13 Hoosac St., Adams.

Burial will be at a later date in the spring in Clarksburg Cemetery.

Calling hours are Saturday from 11:00 A.M. until the time of the service at the funeral home.

Memorial donations may be made to the Stamford Community Church, 1059 Main Rd., Stamford, VT 05352.

We are so sorry to hear of Norma's passing, we haven't seen her in years. Sue and I worked with her at Crane, Norma was one of only a couple of women who ran an engraving press, she was a hard worker. Our hearts and prayers go out to her family, she was such a sweet woman.

She was a wonderful woman and I'm glad I met her when we we younger, when I lived in Clarksburg. My prayers and thoughts our with you all.
