I was accepted by "MOM" when she laughed at one of my jokes!! That was after she moved in with Aldona. I called Pat "MOM" also as a joke because I am only a few years younger! She smiled when I said it! Even responded sometimes. I've only known her in the past 2+ years after she became less talkative. I am sorry I missed the friendship part, but I think she knew I was an extended family member! It is wonderful to read what others have said about Pat.

Aldonna, Your mom was my sponsor thru some difficult times. She will be remember by me as a compassionate, yet brutally honest woman who led me to believe in myself and stand up against alcoholics who rob you of yourself. Peace and love

Pat helped in so many ways over the years and never wanted acknowledgment, recognition or thanks. Her strength and her faith kept me going in my darkest days. She did God's work and didn't ask for anything in return. A true hero and inspiration to many.
