Jeanne Beatrice Dufraine, 77

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. —  Jeanne Beatrice (Forgette) Dufraine, 77, of Easthampton. We announce the passing of our loving and devoted mother, friend, and to the many lives she touched. She died on February 12, 2023, peacefully at Home. She was born on November 10, 1945, a daughter of the late Eugene & Doris (Champagne) Forgette.

Jeanne attended local schools and graduated from St. Joseph’s High School. She was employed at Sprague Electric, MicroCal and ending her working life within the local banks.

Jeanne leaves her children, Richard Dufraine of New Hampshire and Michelle Simpson of Massachusetts and her grandchildren who all meant the world to her. She also leaves behind many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. She was predeceased by her sister, Irene Gregory and her mother and father.

Please do not grieve as for she is free; she has now found peace. She put up a heroic fight against Breast Cancer, Oral Cancer, Brain Cancer, multiple fights with Lung Cancer and in the end the strokes. There was not one doctor who did not say “wow, you look great” after reading all her records. Her personal strength amazed an awed everyone who knew what she’s gone through.

Now, God has called her home, to a wonderful place where she will be socializing, dancing and just being…free. She will be with friends and family where music, laughter and love are guaranteed.

Instead of flowers she would like that you will do a random act of kindness for someone in her name.

FUNERAL NOTICE: A Liturgy of Christian Burial to celebrate the life of Jeanne Dufraine will be on Friday, February 24, 2023, at 11:00 AM at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church. Callings hours will be on Friday from 10-11 AM at the Flynn & Dagnoli Funeral Home - CENTRAL CHAPEL 74 Marshall St. North Adams, MA 01247. There will be no burial. Donations may be made to your choosing through the Flynn & Dagnoli Funeral Home 74 Marshall St. North Adams, MA 01247.

To Richard and Michelle. I knew your mom many years ago and remember a happy go lucky, free spirited girl, who would always do for others. May she find the peace she so deserves. My thoughts are with you in this time of loss.
