Francis "Frank" Livesey,93

Florida, MA-  Francis Albert “Frank” Livesey, 93, of Florida, MA died on Sunday, February 12, 2023 at North Adams Commons.

Frank was born in Plainfield, CT on May 22, 1929 a son of the late John & Theresa (Linford) Livesey. He graduated from St. Joseph’s High School and was a decorated Veteran of the US Army serving in WWII.

Francis was employed at Sprague Electric Company and Hunter Machine Company. He was last employed at General Electric Company as a Welder for many years. He was a member of the North Adams American Legion and a member of the Greylock Community Club for many years.

Francis was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing, snowshoeing, camping, weight lifting and working out. Frank was a great story teller and had a great sense of humor, was an avid reader, and never owned a TV.

Frank leaves his nieces and nephews including, Paul Descoteau, Anne Filiault, John Descoteau, Tracy Keating, Jennifer Mastrangelo, Jay Livesey, Debra Lee Shorter, Sandra Cuesta, and Heather Descoteau who was by his side in the nursing home. He was predeceased by his sister, Isabelle Descoteau and brothers John and James Livesey. He was also pre deceased by a niece, Betty Ellen Meyers.

FUNERAL NOTICE: A funeral service to celebrate the life of Francis "Frank" Livesey will be celebrated on Saturday, February 18, 2023 at 10:00 AM at Flynn & Dagnoli Funeral Home – WEST CHAPEL 521 West Main St. North Adams, MA 01247. Calling hours will be on Saturday from 9-10 AM at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery with full military honors. Had the privilege to be in his company for many years in camp. He was the consumate gentelman and a hell of a cribbage player. I still have all my aces and tens from a xmas card he sent them in to help me with my game... RIP Franky..

To the Livesey, and Descoteau families, So sorry to hear of Frank's passing. He was such a nice guy. He was friends with my Dad and Uncle. He never forgot who their children were. I would see him over the years and he would know who I was right aways ready to have a nice chat . May he rest in Peace.

So sorry to hear of Frank's passing. Many was the time that we would talk for hours about rabbit hunting, fishing, and everything outdoors. I always admired Frank's never give up attitude and his of the top of his head knowledge of darned near everything.
During the time that I knew him, Frank became one of my personal heroes. He will be sadly missed. Rest easy Buddy.
