Recollections & Sympathy For the Family

I am saddened to hear of Brian’s passing, which I just learned of. He was a fantastic Special Ed teacher at HVHS, one who mentored me while I was in high school by letting me volunteer and observe him . I became a Specisl Ed teacher myself, for 35 years, and started by career Bach in Adams, but he had moved on by then. I regret I never made the time to properly thank him for his influence in my life.
My mother in law, Christine Laing, was Brian’s paraprofessional for all his years there. She often talked about what a great guy he was, a compassionate teacher and an easy going boss.
I am very sorry for your loss. A light went out when he left.

Our condolences, Barbara. We were shocked and saddened to hear the news of Brian's passing. He was a great teacher and a wonderful person. Brian touched so many lives in the very best way. Craig and I enjoyed working with him during our tenure at MAU and are grateful we got the chance to know him as both a colleague and a friend.
Wishing you peace and comfort during this difficult time, and sending hugs.

So sorry to hear this. I grew up with Brian on Taft Street and him and Bob were always back and forth as we lived directly across the street from us. Rumor has it that Brian and I went missing one day and were found at his aunt Jessie's eating crackers on her kitchen floor, while she was at my house visiting my mom. We were just toddlers at the time. We sure enjoyed Brian, and Bob growing up. Bob, you have my sincere condolences. ??

My sincere sympathy to Brian's family on his passing. I had the privilege of knowing hm when I was participating on the "Answers Please" quiz team representing Hoosac Valley High School during 1978-79 and 1979-80 academic years. He was a truly wonderful person to know, and skillfully guided one of the teams of which I was a part to a championship. No doubt he will be greatly missed. God be with you all to comfort you at this difficult time. Please know you are all in my prayers.
