Leda A. Giroux, 81

ADAMS, Mass.

Mrs. Leda A. (Gotzens) Giroux, 81, of Adams, died on Wednesday, December 21, 2022, at Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield.

She was born in Pittsfield on May 3, 1941, a daughter of the late Richard and Cyrella (Bacon) Gotzens. She attended schools in Adams and graduated from the former Adams High School.

Leda last worked as the purchasing agent for the former W.R. Grace Company, Adams, until retiring after 28 years. Earlier she had worked for 10 years in the office at the former Sweetbrook Nursing Home, Williamstown.

She was a communicant of the former St. Thomas Aquinas Church, Adams.

Her husband, Harvey J. Giroux, Jr., whom she married on February 4, 1983, died on May 13, 2013.

She is survived by her daughter, Brenda DeMastri and her wife Sherri Leining of Marion, VA; two sons, Mark Demastrie of Adams and Thomas Demastrie of Colorado Springs, CO; a brother Richard Gotzens and his wife Rosella of Lakeland, FL; a sister Ruth King and her husband Patrick of Bennington, VT; two grandchildren, Nathanial Stanley and Krystal Hager; six great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her brother F. Allen Gotzens.

The funeral will be held on Wednesday, December 28th at 10:00 A.M. in the PACIOREK FUNERAL HOME, 13 Hoosac St., Adams.

Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery, North Adams.

There are no calling hours.
