Shirley A. Boland, 86

ADAMS, Mass. —  

Shirley A. (Reeves) Boland, 86, of Adams, died on November 10, 2022, at Springside Nursing Home in Pittsfield.

She was born in Adams on October 10,1936, daughter of the late George and Viola (Pare) Reeves. She attended schools in Adams and graduated from the former Adams High School with the class of 1954.

Mrs. Boland worked as a waitress for the former Howard Johnson’s in Williamstown under the Brundage Brothers, and then for Excelsior Paper Co. in North Adams until her retirement. She enjoyed going to the casinos, going out to eat and ordering a toasted almond drink, baking delicious desserts and doing crossword puzzles. The first hamburger off the grill in the Summer was always her favorite time of year.

She is survived by her daughter, Lisa Waltermire and her husband Jim of Adams, and a son, Timothy Boland of Rochester, New Hampshire. She is pre-deceased by two sons, Jeffrey R. and James B. Boland Jr.; she also leaves behind six grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

At her request there will be no services.
