Jane A. Stavaski, 98

ADAMS, Mass. —  

Mrs. Jane Agnes (Nowak) Stavaski, 98, a lifelong resident of Adams, died on Tuesday, Nov 2, 2022 at Mount Carmel Care Center in Lenox, MA. She was born in Adams on September 17, 1924, a daughter of the late Henry and Mary (Mazur) Nowak. She attended schools in Adams. Mrs. Stavaski worked for many years for the former Waverly Fabrics, Adams, the former Sprague Electric Co., and was a Nurses Aide at North Adams Regional Hospital until retiring. Jane’s angelic voice was recognized as the lead chorist for 65 years at St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, Adams. Jane enjoyed spending time with her family, telling jokes, lucky bingo winnings along with her unique card playing will be greatly missed by all.
Her husband, Francis H. Stavaski, whom she married on October 23, 1948, died on June 14, 1997.
She is survived by her son, Mark Stavaski and his wife Diane and Jane’s two Grandchildren Sara and Sean Stavaski, her sons Michael and David Stavaski. nephew Tom Biros and his wife, Joan, and many nieces, nephews and close friends. She was predeceased by her husband Francis Stavaski, by three brothers, Adam, William and Walter Nowak and by four sisters, Olympia Burke, Wanda Gale, Mickey Skowronski, and Monica Biros. Jane's family wishes to extend their sincere appreciation and thanks to the wonderful staff at Mount Carmel Care Center in Lenox for their devoted loving care to Jane and to Hospice Care in the Berkshires for their professional support. The funeral and burial in St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Adams, will be private. The PACIOREK FUNERAL HOME, Adams, is in charge of arrangements. Mark, I loved listening to your mom sing with the St. Stan's choir at Midnight Mass. Such lovely memories of long ago. My condolences to you and your family.
