Lorraine Rachel St. Cyr, 89
NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Lorraine Rachel (Rancourt) St. Cyr, 89, of Wildwood, Fla formerly of North Adams, passed away peacefully Oct. 20 after a long illness.
Lorraine was born Oct. 6, 1933, in Adams. She married Lawrence St Cyr on May 5, 1951. She worked for various companies in North Adams including, J. J. Newberry, Sprague Electric Company, North Adams State College, and Boston Fish Market before moving to Lady Lake, Fla.
Besides being a Girl Scout leader, she enjoyed knitting, and playing bingo.
She is survived by her son Larry (Nancy) of New York; daughters Mari Lynne Larsen (Rick) of New Hampshire and Linda Bretzer of Delaware; six grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, her parents Victor and Mabel (Baker) Rancourt, her brother, Victor, and her two sisters, Lillie and Barbara, as well as her granddaughter Christina Remillard.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. Donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
