Bernard J. Fryc, 82

ADAMS, Mass. —  Mr. Bernard J. Fryc, 82, of Adams, died Saturday evening, Feb. 22, 2020, at Williamstown Commons. He was born in Adams on June 18, 1937, a son of the late Bernard and Clara (Pytko) Fryc, and attended Adams schools, graduating from the former Adams High School with the Class of 1955. Following his graduation, he enlisted in the US Navy, serving from 1955 until his Honorable Discharge in 1959. Following his military service, he received his Bachelor’s Degree in Social Studies from the former North Adams State College in 1963. He taught Social Studies and English in the Southern Berkshire Regional School District for several years, then operated his own farm in Sheffield for several years. He last worked as a real estate appraiser and agent until finally retiring several years ago. He is survived by a nephew, Alan M. Fryc and his wife, Laurie, of Arizona, and several cousins. He was predeceased by his brother, Robert J. Fryc in 2007. A graveside funeral service will be held on Friday, Oct. 28th at 12 Noon in St. Stanislaus Kostka Cemetery, Adams.
