Antonietta "Toni" Mazzantini, 92
ADAMS, Mass. —
Mrs. Antonietta “Toni” (Nolfo) Mazzantini, 92, of Adams, died Sunday morning, September 11, 2022 at Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield. She was born in Castellammare del Golfo, Sicily on February 2, 1930, a daughter of the late Ludovico and Caterina (D’Aguana) Nolfo. She attended schools in Sicily and came here in 1951.
Toni last worked as a seamstress for the former CB Sports until her retirement. Earlier, she had worked at the former Hunter Outdoor Products and Sprague Electric Co. She was a communicant of St. John Paul II Parish at the former St. Thomas Aquinas Church, Adams, and was a member of its Rosary Sodality. She was a member of Court Sancta Regina, Catholic Daughters of the Americas, the Sons of Italy and the ITAM Lodge, Pittsfield. She was also an active member of the St. John Paul Adoration Chapel. She enjoyed sewing and knitting, was a fabulous cook and especially enjoyed entertaining family and friends.
Her husband, Emilio Ezio Mazzantini, whom she married on November 11, 1953, died on September 5, 2009.
She is survived by her two sons, Robert Mazzantini and his wife, Robin, of Adams, and Gary Mazzantini and his wife, Pat, of Cheshire; two daughters, Susan Reinhardt and her husband, Jamie, of Savoy, and Lisa Roughley of Lanesboro; six grandchildren, including Michael Mazzantini, whom she raised as a son, and his significant other, Gabby, Jordan Reinhardt, Javen Reinhardt, Paul Mazzantini and his wife Vanessa, Adam Mazzantini and Angela Roughly McKinney and her husband, Eric; her great granddaughter Lindley Frances Mazzantini, as well as several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. She was the last of her immediate family, and was also predeceased by her son-in-law, John W. Roughley on June 28, 2002.
The funeral will be held on Thursday, Sept. 15th, at 9:00 AM from the PACIOREK FUNERAL HOME, 13 Hoosac St. Adams, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in Notre Dame des Sept Douleurs Church, Adams. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery, North Adams. Calling hours are Wednesday from 4 to 7 PM at the funeral home.
