John 'Pete' Koscinski, 85

ADAMS, Mass. —  Mr. John L. “Pete” Koscinski, 85, of Adams, died Saturday morning, August 27, 2022 at his home. He was born in North Adams on June 21, 1937, a son of the late Casmer and Rita (Desnoyers) Koscinski. He moved to Adams as a child with his family and attended Adams schools.

Pete served with the US Navy from 1955 until his Honorable Discharge in 1959. He also served with Company M of the Massachusetts National Guard in Adams for 27 years. Pete last worked at MacDermid Corp. and its predecessor, W.R. Grace Co. in Adams for 23 years until retiring in 1999. Earlier, he had worked at General Electric Co. in Pittsfield and at ALADCO in Adams. He was a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 310 in North Adams, and the Adams Turners.

He enjoyed bowling, golfing and spending time with his grandchildren and great grandson. He is survived by two daughters, Robin Martin and her husband, Bill, of Sarasota, FL and Sharon Bryant and her husband, Ted, of Northport, FL; three grandchildren, Bryan Martin, Tyler Martin and his fiancée, Mariah, and Jeremy Martin, a great grandson, Trevor Martin; a brother, Joseph Koscinski of Adams, a sister, Patricia Roberts of Plymouth, MA; his former wife, Delores (Shook) Koscinski of Adams, and several nieces and nephews.
