Angela L. Gancarz, 53

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. —  Angela Lee Gancarz, 53, of North Adams MA, died Thursday April 28, 2022 at her home from complications from COPD.

She was born in North Adams, MA on December 11, 1968, daughter of Thomas Bryant Diefendorf and Jean Marie (Gancarz) Braman. She attended local schools including Drury High School. Angela was last employed by Williams College and more recently was an independent jewelry consultant. She enjoyed crafting and making jewelry as well as walking in the woods. Angela also loved animals and had a green thumb for her many plants. Survivors include two daughters- Ashley Lynn Gagne of Adams and Aleigh Marie Gancarz of North Adams; her mother Jean Braman; her father Thomas Diefendorf and stepmother, Rose; and her stepfather, Thomas Craw. She also leaves 5 grandchildren - Christopher, Matthew, Zacharias, Kaleighonna, and Meadow; two sisters- April Craw and Darlene Diefendorf; two brothers - John Gancarz and Thomas Craw II; her childhood best friend, Tammy Beliveau and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her sister, Denise Diefendorf.

FUNERAL NOTICE: Calling hours for Angela Gancarz will be Wednesday, May 4, 2022 from 4-6 PM at FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS WEST CHAPELS, 521 West Main St. North Adams, MA.
