Barbara J. Jzyk, 78

ADAMS, Mass. —

Barbara J. (Lefebvre) Jzyk went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 19, 2022. Known as Jane to those closest to her, she was born on July 18, 1943 to Thais (Jones) Lefebvre and Joseph Lefebvre. She grew up on her family’s farm on West Mountain Road in Adams. She loved to tell stories about her childhood “up the mountain” with her 15 siblings. She attended Notre Dame School in Adams.

Her favorite past times were the simple things in life—sitting on her front porch waiting for friends or family to stop by, watching the birds, going for rides on the backroads, cooking, attending family gatherings and buying things she didn’t need from magazines and QVC. She especially loved red roses. Primarily a homemaker, she enjoyed her time working at Jaeschke’s Orchard in Adams. She was a member of the Maple Grove Civic Club.

She was predeceased by her second husband Frank Jzyk and her longtime companion Bud French.

She leaves her children Walt Gerry (Pam) Mark Gerry, Barbara Gerry-Lavigne (Francis) and Linda Gerry-Saldana. She was a beloved grandma and “Gia” to Ericca, Victoria, Abreeonna, Brandon, and great-granddaughter Amelia. She was a sister to Mellissa Murphy, Diana Oparowski, Pamela Martischnig, Deborah Varno, Tina Radlowski, and Norma Morin and the late Gary, Kenneth, Jeff, and Joe Lefebvre, Sandra Suriner, Patricia Edwards, Loretta Atwell, Leona Sherman, and Rita Grande. She leaves countless nieces, nephews, and cousins, as well as lifelong friend Rosie Schaffrick.

Funeral services, calling hours and burial will be private for the family and extended family on Monday, April 25th starting at 11:00 A.M. at the PACIOREK FUNERAL HOME, 13 Hoosac St., Adams.

Memorial donations may be made to the Adams Ambulance Service, 185 Columbia St., Adams, MA 01220.
