William H. Worth Jr.

CLARKSBURG, Mass. —   William “Bill” Henry Worth Jr. of Clarksburg passed away at his home Thursday, March 31, 2022 at the age of 76. He was born in North Adams on July 20, 1945, the son of the late William Henry Worth Sr. and Viola Idella (Belanger) Worth. He grew up and attended local North Adams schools. Bill lived in Adams for many years raising a family and then settling in Clarksburg with his wife Joan.

Bill worked in various jobs until illness forced his retirement. After retirement he enjoyed tinkering with lawn mowers and weedwhackers.

Bill had a lifelong love of music especially Elvis, Hank Williams and country music as well as playing the guitar and tearing up the dance floor. enjoyed watching Nascar, wrestling and the Boston Red Sox, listening to his CB radio known to many as “Boxside” and the Trading Post known as “Triple 3”.Bill  had a sweet, kind and gentle nature and loved to spend time with his family especially doting on his grandchildren and great grandchildren, attending his grandson’s RC car racing and making his famous crazy crust pizza or goulash.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years Joan Worth (Hazard) whom he married July 8, 1967; his loving children, son John Worth and wife Stephanie of Adams; daughters Maryann and husband Bill Perault of Dalton and Bonnie Worth of North Adams; grandchildren Nathan Worth and wife Amber, Mariah Worth and fiancé Collin Kline, Autumn Worth and fiancé Ryan Blessing, Hannah, Noah and Emily Perault, Davion Hart, Devin and Kayla Trager; great grandchildren, Hollyann Fields, Tucker and Natalie Worth and Christopher Kline; his youngest sister Doris Cote of North Adams; many nieces and nephews and extended family Ingrid Lewis. He also leaves his beloved animals Ginger, Mia, Boots and Tiger. He was predeceased by his brother Walter Wilson Worth May 14, 2015 a sister Alice Loretta Worth July 7, 1964 and his spiritual son Frank David Hart III November 5, 2006.

FUNERAL NOTICE: A graveside service for William H. Worth Jr. will be held at the Clarksburg Cemetery on 68 Henderson Rd, Clarksburg, MA Friday, April 8, 2022 at 1:00 pm. There will be no calling hours.  In lieu of flowers a donation can be made in memory of William H. I loved his friend sayin he was Worth the meaning of his last name , I loved running into him and Joan it was always a nice exchange of words always concerned on how you were doing, I hope Bonnie told her Father that I was asking him, she was pictured with him sitting on his couch, We experienced the same feeling when we were around him, Rest In Peace William you will be missed …

So sorry for your loss. Bill was one of the good people. When we had a benefit dinner years ago, he gave above and beyond - was a man who cared about others less fortunate. May he rest in peace.
