Richard Dufraine, 75

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. —  Richard Dufraine, 75 of Easthampton, MA died on Tuesday March 1, 2022 at Baystate Medical Center.

He was born in North Adams, MA on September 8, 1946, a son of the late Lawrence A. and Annina R. (Zappula) Dufraine. He attended local schools and graduated from the Drury High School. He worked at Sprague Electric in North Adams. Richard served his country as a member of the Massachusetts National Guard.

He was last employed at the Ben Franklin Design and Manufacturing Company as a Quality Control Inspector. Richard enjoyed his time coaching baseball with the Easthampton Little League. He enjoyed watching NASCAR and other sporting events. Above all, he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his brother Lawrence Dufraine of Londonderry, New Hampshire and his sister Nancy Dufraine of Olympia, WA. He also leaves his son Richard R. Dufraine of New Hampshire and daughter Michelle L. Simpson of Massachusetts. He also leaves three grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

FUNERAL NOTICE: A Liturgy of Christian Burial for Richard Dufraine will be celebrated Friday April 8, 2022 at 11:00 AM at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church. Burial will follow in Southview cemetery. A calling hour will be held Friday morning from 10-11 AM at FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS CENTRAL CHAPEL, 74 Marshall St. North Adams, MA 01247.
