Lisa Michelle Phelps Tuttle

February 29, 1960 - March 13, 2022

Lisa Michelle Phelps Tuttle, 62, of North Adams, Massachusetts passed away on March 13, 2022. She was unique as her birthdate, a Leap Year baby, born February 29, 1960, to Lawrence and Gloria Phelps of North Adams, MA. She was the youngest of four daughters.

Lisa graduated from Drury High School in North Adams in 1978. She continued her education at Berkshire Community College, earning a degree in Secretarial Arts. In 1980, Lisa moved to Portland, Maine and obtained a second Associate's degree in horticulture from Southern Maine Community College. She later moved to Peaks Island, Maine where she met Randall Tuttle, whom she married in 1988, having two children, Kaitlyn and Lauren.

Lisa worked at O’ Donal’s Nursery in Gorham, Maine. After years of horticulture, she found a love for computer science and started her career in Technical Support for the law firm of Amerling and Burns in Portland. Lisa enjoyed the challenge of problem solving and staying current with computer technology. She furthered her career as an Office Manager for the law firm of McTeague Higbee, in Topsham, Maine. Many years later she ended her career in Computer Science and found joy in volunteering at the Ronald McDonald house in Portland. She would help parents who had a child in the hospital settle into their temporary housing during their stay. Lisa was compassionate and had great empathy for these parents. She had a calming and reassuring personality that made all feel more at ease.

In her down time, she enjoyed being outdoors, channeling her adventurous spirit, feeling most at peace in nature. From an early age to an adult, camping was an activity that she shared with her family and then again with her children. One of her favorite campgrounds was on Hermit Island in Phippsburg Maine. If she wasn't in the woods, she was excited to share her love for Peaks Island with her parents, sisters and daughters.

Her girls were the light of her life, and on May 5, 2021 she became a grandmother to her first grandchild, Vincent. She spent quality time visiting her daughters and adoring her new grandson.

We see her at peace, rocking in a glider enjoying a thunderstorm, at the ocean, or under the stars building a campfire. She was unique from birth to death and will always be missed.

She is predeceased by her father, Lawrence Phelps. She leaves behind her Mother, Gloria Phelps; her sister Estelle and husband John Graziola, their children Kara and David; sister Marilyn and husband Ted Kolis and their children Jamie and Stacy; sister Jeanne and husband Alex Bohm; eldest daughter, Kaitlyn Tuttle, and partner Chris Smith, and their son Vincent Smith; youngest daughter, Lauren Tuttle.

Visiting hours will be held in North Adams, Massachusetts, Monday, March 21st from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Funeral Home, Central Chapels,  74 Marshall Street, North Adams, Massachusetts. A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrate next door at 1:00 p.m. at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Parish.

In lieu of flowers please send donations in Lisa's name to the Ronald McDonald House in Portland, Maine. To add to the Book of Memories, please visit flynndagnolifuneralhomes.com.
