Linda M. Racine
CHESHIRE, Mass. —
With grieving hearts and tremendous sadness we announce that our bright light has dimmed. Our fierce warrior, our family’s heart, is no longer in the battle. Ms. Linda M. (Triceri) Racine, of Cheshire, passed away with her children by her bedside on Wednesday, March 9, 2022, just months short of celebrating her 72nd birthday. Born in Pittsfield, MA on May 3, 1950, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Edith Thompson Triceri, and was also predeceased by her best friend and sister, Pamela (Triceri) Rotti who passed away in 2003.
Linda was a long-time employee of Bagels, Too, in Pittsfield. It was there that she worked for 23 years until her retirement in 2014. Linda enjoyed her Bagel customers, many of whom became great friends. She was especially close to owner Susan Gordon and her best friend and co-worker Nanette Icardi.
Among many things, Linda enjoyed her dogs Leah and Donnis, camping, and being around water. She enjoyed making homemade gifts for her family and sharing fashion tips and trading clothes with her precious granddaughter Becky. Linda loved her “granny pod” which was her home for the last four years. She never missed her favorite television show Jeopardy and always called her children to say goodnight because texting frustrated her. Linda was one of the only few remaining on earth that enjoyed liver and onions. She cherished time with her family and her faith in God was a significant part of her life.
Linda leaves behind her two children, David J. Icardi Jr and Shelly Icardi-Briggs (Paul). She also leaves her brother Daniel Triceri (Toni) and beloved grand-children Rebecca Ahamad (Jamal), Matthew Icardi, Havah Icardi and Hayden Ryan. She leaves several nephews and nieces, Michael Wilk (Kelly), Dina Triceri, Danielle Triceri, Anthony Triceri (Caitlyn) and Jennifer Rotti (Candi). Linda also leaves great nieces Aleya, Talia, Sydney, Cami and Eliza, great nephew Jon-Jon and a great grandson, four-year old Dylan Icardi, who might also be Spider Man.
Funeral Notice:
At her request, services for Linda will be private with the family. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory can be made to The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation or to Berkshire Dance Theatre’s Angel Fund to sponsor dance scholarships for local youth, in care of the Dwyer Funeral Home.
