Arthur Houghtaling Jr., 48

 

Arthur Volney Houghtaling Jr. 48, of North Adams died Monday February 28, 2022 at his home.

He was born in North Adams on October 19, 1973 a son of Alice (Hall) Houghtaling and the late Arthur Volney Houghtaling. Arthur graduated from Mc Cann High School with the class of 1992. He was contractor for many years and enjoyed working with his late father, serving Berkshire County and Southern Vermont.

Arthur enjoyed riding his Harley, working outside and Mountain Dew. His whole life focused on his love for his daughter Maddison and all her activities.

Survivors include his loving daughter Maddison "Maddie" Houghtaling, mother Alice Houghtaling of Monroe, sisters Alicia Benoit (Ken) of Clarksburg, Arica Ouimet (Michael) of Adams and brother John Hall ( Pamela) of Hudson,NH. He leaves nieces and nephews Danica Hall-O'Brien, Garson Hall, Tyler Benoit, Kelsey Ouimet, Ryan Ouimet and Megan Benoit.

A celebration of Arthur V. Houghtaling Jr. life will take place at a later date. Memorial donations are suggested for the Maddison Houghtaling Fund through the Flynn & Dagnoli Funeral Home, WEST CHAPELS, 521 West Main St. North Adams, MA. 01247. Art will be so missed by the ones who truly knew him. We will miss him at the cookouts, and the pranks he always pulled on us. If he wasn’t with Kit riding his Harley, he was lost on trails in the woods with Korrie, and his best friend Moose. We will miss your stories and the vibe you always brought when visiting us.
