Julia Therrien,83

Julia Mary Therrien

January 11, 1939 - February 14, 2022

It was a befitting and memorable Valentine's Day this year when Julia was taken on the wings of angels to meet the Lord on February 14, 2022.

Born and raised in North Adams, as the only child of Roger and Agnes (Davis) Bolus, and stepfather Samuel Jolin she often fondly shared memories of what a thriving city North Adams was while she was growing up and the many factories she worked at through the years including her work at Wall Streeter Shoe Company where she met her future husband Robert William Therrien who she married in 1964. Retiring from General Cable in Williamstown, MA.

Together they enjoyed for years many of life's simple pleasures including dinner out on a Friday Night, the love and companionship of many pets, and an occasional evening of fun playing Bingo in town.

On a nice morning, Julia could often be found reading the morning newspaper on her front porch. Living in North Adams all her life, she often knew the people mentioned in the paper and could frequently add more to the story.

After Robert passed on in April of 2017, when asked if there was an expression that she or Robert should be remembered for saying, Julia said for Robert it should be "Cheerio!" and for her, she'd like to be remembered for saying "I love you more...".

How fitting that she should be called home on February 14th.

Julia's greatest joy was being with her family and friends who included her daughter Mary Reardon and her husband, William of Rowe, MA; a son Roger Therrien and his wife, Susan of North Adams; five grandchildren Roger Therrien of North Adams, Robert Therrien and his partner Jessica of North Adams and Christa Therrien and Michael Mott who died June 12, 2020 of North Adams, Tiffany Deady and her husband Thomas of Greenfield and Crystal Reardon of Heath; eleven great grandchildren Kelsey, Kaelyn, Michael, Wesley, Paytton, Jacek, Jillian, Wyatt, Julia, Eva and many close family friends including Mary Jacoby. She was predeceased by her husband Robert William Therrien and her great granddaughter Melinda Sue.

Long live the beauty that comes down and through and onto all who knew and loved Julia.

Donations can be made in her memory to St. Jude Children’s hospital

“It’s never goodbye it’s always so long. We love you most."

Private funeral services will take place at the Flynn & Dagnoli Funeral Home, WEST CHAPELS, 521 West Main St. North Adams, MA. Burial will follow in the family plot in Southview Cemetery, North Adams, MA. To add to the Book of Memories, please visit www.flynndagnolifuneralhomes.com.

Such a sweet woman! We often shared tea and watched the thunder storms together on her front porch! One of my favorite memories! I was her neighbor who lived across the street. She will be missed 🤍
