Barbara Rondeau,90

Barbara Jane (Fortini) Rondeau 90, of North Adams died Thursday February 10, 2022 at Berkshire Medical Center with her daughter and granddaughter at her side. She was born in North Adams on September 3, 1931 a daughter of the late Frank and Pauline (LeGrand) Fortini.

Barbara attended schools in North Adams including Drury High School and was employed at Sprague Electric Company for 39 years retiring in 1986. She was member of the Blackinton Union Church in North Adams, Sprague Electric Quarter Century and Retirees Clubs and the St. Joseph Court Tenants Association.

Her husband Ernest George Rondeau whom she married January 17, 1953 died May 9, 2007. Survivors include her loving daughter Gail Rondeau Hebert and her husband Jack of North Adams, granddaughter Nicole Renaud and her companion Steve Haskins of North Adams. She also leaves great- grandchildren Amelia Renaud and Tyler Haskins a brother Robert Fortini and his wife Peg of North Adams and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by three sisters, four brothers, Bernadette Barbeau, Rita Pedrin, Veronica Landry, John Fortini, Donald Fortini, Frank "Pee Wee" Fortini and William Fortini. The family would like to thank the staff at North Adams Commons and the staff at the Critical Care Unit at BMC for their care and support.

Funeral services to celebrate the life of Barbara Rondeau will be celebrated Wednesday February 16, 2022 at 1p.m. at the Flynn & Dagnoli Funeral Home, WEST CHAPELS, 521 West Main St. North Adams, MA. Burial will take place at a later date. Calling hours at the funeral home are Wednesday from 11a.m. to 1p.m. Memorial donations are suggested for the Shriners Children's Hospital or to St. Jude Children's Hospital through the funeral home.
