Kathleen A. Noel, 88

ADAMS, Mass. —  

Mrs. Kathleen A. (Macchia) Noel, 88, of Agawam, formerly of Adams, died peacefully on Tuesday, February 1, 2022, at her home surrounded by her family.

Her husband, Melvin J. Noel, whom she married on February 17, 1968, died on December 8, 1999.

She was born in Adams on December 6, 1933, a daughter of the late Michael and Nellie (Kustra) Macchia. She attended schools in Adams and graduated from the former Adams High School with the class of 1951.

Kay worked for many years as the office manager for Thomson & Linscott Insurance Agency in Adams until her retirement.

had a great sense of humor, and will be remembered for her dry, witty remarks keeping her family, friends and those around her smiling and laughing. was an avid golfer and enjoyed knitting, ceramics, quilting and playing cards, especially blackjack. She was never afraid to double down. She also enjoyed watching sports; Patriots, Celtics and the New York Yankees, much to the chagrin of the rest of the family.

She is survived by her daughter, Tamara (Mancini) Richter and her husband Steven of Southwick; four sons, Peter Mancini and his wife Susan Ostrobinski of Stuart, FL, Dennis Noel and his wife Julie and Darren Noel, all of Adams and Dale Noel and his wife Linda of Covington, KY; two sisters, Geraldine Calderella and Toni Vitali; eight grandchildren, two great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her sister Carmen Lemanski.

Thank you to all her great caregivers and friends at Quail Run.

Funeral service for family and friends will be held on Monday, February 7, 2022 at 11:00 A.M. in the PACIOREK FUNERAL HOME, 13 Hoosac St., Adams.

Burial will follow in Bellevue Cemetery, Adams. There are no calling hours. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 225 N. Michigan Ave., Fl. 17, Chicago, IL 60601.
