Paul Smith, 66

Paul Irving Smith 66 of the Town of Florida died Monday January 31, 2022 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born in North Adams on March 7, 1955 a son of Alma (Harrington) Smith and the late Richard Smith. Paul graduated from Hoosac Valley High School and was a decorated veteran of the United States Navy where he served on the USS Nautilus. He was employed through the county as a construction worker for many years. He also was employed at Lee Lime and Commonwealth Sprague. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening.

Survivors include his mother Alma Smith of Williamstown, wife Cynthia (Burdick) Smith, daughters Sonja Byers and husband Jerry, Crystal Wentz and husband Jeremy, son Chipper Cormier and wife Danielle, grandchildren Corrine, Taia, Evelyn, Jay "JT", Benjamin and great grandson Axton. He also leaves a sister Theresa Smith and Aunt Barbara, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brothers Steve and John Smith.

Calling Hours for Paul Smith will take place Wednesday February 9, 2022 from 2p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Flynn & Dagnoli Funeral Home, CENTRAL CHAPELS, 74 Marshall St. North Adams, MA. My sincere condolences and prayers in hearing on the passing of Paul. I knew from the old neighborhood in Farnums. We had a great time and tons of fun as youth. RIP Paul.
