Joseph M. Ostellino, 56

PITTSFIELD, Mass. — Our beloved Joseph Michael Ostellino, 56, of Falmouth, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, Dec. 12, 2021, at his home. Three days prior, he had been struck by a motor vehicle.

Joseph was born on Feb. 5, 1965, to Victor and Rose Marie Pianpiano Ostellino. He was a graduate of Pittsfield High School and Berkshire Community College. After college, Joe was employed as a manager in the time-share industry on Cape Cod.

Joe was a kind and compassionate soul with a warm spirit and a beautiful smile. He was always reaching out to his family and friends with kindness, reminiscing about the past, and sharing funny stories. Joe held God and his faith close to his heart and always reached out to help others in need. He was a member of All Souls Church, and then St. Patrick's Church in Falmouth.

In high school, Joe played football and always maintained his love of sports. He was an avid fan of the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots. He also had a great love of cooking and long walks on the beaches of Cape Cod.

Survivors include Sharon Polito (Samuel), Victor P. (Sharon) Ostellino, Richard A. Ostellino (Susan Gagliardi), and John A. (Melinda) Ostellino, all of Pittsfield; Jean Bellora (Ronald) of Pittsfield and Naples, Fla., and Robert J. (Cathy) Ostellino of Wellington, Fla. He also leaves his former sisters-in-law Donna and Summer Ostellino, many cousins, nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews, his loving friend Martha McCarthy of Falmouth, as well as many friends.
