Jeanne Filiault,71

 

Mary- Jeanne (Miner) Filiault, 71, of North Adams died on Sunday, October 24, 2021 at her home.

She was born in North Adams, on January 26, 1950 a daughter of the late George Emil and Justine (Emery) Miner.

Jeanne attended Buxton High School and graduated with the class of 1968. She then attended Berkshire Community, North Adams State College and later received her Master’s in Education from MCLA. Jeanne was first employed at Sprague Electric Company and was a longtime educator at Pine Cobble School, Stamford School and last employed as the principal of Hancock School, retiring in 2012.

Jeanne was a communicant of St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church, and a swimming coach at North Adams and Pittsfield YMCA, she also loved to travel. Her first husband, Dennis Peter Filiault whom she married April 12, 1969 died on August 26, 2003.

Jeanne leaves her husband, Robert R. Dunham, they were married July 8, 2017. She also leaves two sons, Chad Filiault (Erica) of Laguna Beach, CA. and Tyler Filiault (Jackie) of Monroe, MA., six grandchildren, Ryan, Brooke, Addalie, Easton, Lindley, and Camden. She also leaves her sister Gisele Jordan (Jeffrey) of Hancock and a brother Jonathan Miner of North Adams. She was predeceased by her son Justin Timothy Filiault who died August 18, 2015

FUNERAL NOTICE: A Liturgy of Christian Burial for Jeanne Filiault will be celebrated on Friday, October 29, 2021 at 11:00 AM at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery. Calling hours at Flynn & Dagnoli Funeral Home – WEST CHAPEL 521 West Main St. North Adams, MA will be Thursday from 4:00 – 7:00 PM. Jeanne was my Sister-in-Law. I'll never forget how she helped out my mother in her later years while we couldn't be there on a full-time basis. I'll be ever thankful. RIP, Jeanne.
