Jacqueline Mikutowicz, 87

ADAMS, Mass. —  

Mrs. Jacqueline (Brooks) Mikutowicz, 87, of Adams, died on Sunday, October 3, 2021, at Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield.

She was born in Adams on November 7, 1933, daughter of the late J. Fred and Helen (Hilse) Brooks. She attended schools in Adams and graduated from the former Adams High School with the class of 1951.

Following her graduation, she went to work for the former Sprague Electric Co., North Adams, until 1958. She was last employed as the assistant librarian at Hoosac Valley High School from 1979 until her retirement in 1999.

She was a communicant of the Parish of St. John Paul II at Notre Dame des Sept Douleurs Church, Adams. An avid golfer and candlepin bowler, she was a longtime member of the Forest Park Country Club, its Thursday Night Ladies League, its Bowling League and a member of the East Hoosac A.A. Women’s Bowling League.

Her husband, Walter J. Mikutowicz, whom she married on September 21, 1957 in Notre Dame Church by Msgr. Joseph T. Smith, died on October 15, 2013.

She is survived by her two sons, Michael “Micky” Mikutowicz and his wife Margie of Adams and by James Mikutowicz and his wife Janna of Inman, SC; her loving granddaughter Sarah and her husband Jacob of Cheshire; her great grandson Odin; step granddaughters, Jessica (Kevin) and Lizzie (Lauren); her step grandsons, Alex, Adam and Quincy; her sister-in-law Sophie Dabrowski and by many nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was predeceased by her sister-in-law, Helen Wilk and by her brother-in-law Joseph Mikutowicz.

The funeral will be held on Friday, October 8th at 10:30 A.M. from the PACIOREK FUNERAL HOME, 13 Hoosac St., Adams, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11:00 A.M. in Notre Dame des Sept Douleurs Church, McKinley Square, Adams.

Burial will follow in St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Adams.

Calling hours are Friday morning from 9:30 A.M. to 10:30 A.M. at the funeral home.

I am sorry to read of the passing of your Mother. I played my first Round of golf with her and Jim at Forest Park. She showed a lot patience that day. Whenever I saw her out i always enjoyed talking to her, God Bless.
