Joan A. Witek, 88

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. —  Mrs. Joan A. (Gokey) Witek, 88, of North Adams, died Wednesday September 29, 2021 at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield. She was born in Pittsfield on September 17, 1933, a daughter of the late Stephen and Edith (Payson) Gokey. She attended local schools and graduated from Doerr Beauty Academy in Springfield. She worked as a hairdresser for many local beauty shops. She is survived by her three children, Stanley J. Witek, Jr., Sandra A. Czubryt and Douglas M. Witek; her grandchildren Elizabeth and Joey Witek, Alison Losaw and Ashley Bingham; great grandchildren Jackson Larabee, Blake Losaw and Audrina Losaw, as well as many nieces and nephews. Funeral services and burial in St. Stanislaus Kostka Cemetery in Adams will be private for her children. The PACIOREK FUNERAL HOME, Adams, is in charge of arrangements.
