May 13, 2007 Elks 11 - Trimarchi Nurseries 3
The score is very deceiving, concerning the competitiveness of this game. Trimarchi Nurseries lead 1-0 after 4 innings of play. Starter Mitch Carlow gave up only one hit and struck out 5 in his 3 innings of pitching. Andrew Milesi scored in the first after he walked. Elks mounted a threat in the top of the fourth but Austin Milesi came in and struck out two batters to retain the lead. Elks tied the score with a Mitch Zajak home run, the first of his LL career in the top of the fifth. Elks broke the game open in the top of the sixth with a Jessie Larabee single, Joey Gwozdz triple and the first of Lew Bordon’s 2 homers in the inning. Matt Carlow came in plug to plug the leak of errors and Bordon’s second dinger (a grand slam) left Trimarchi’s trailing 11-1. Evan Lemaire was hit by pitch and scored on Jeremy Vigiard’s RBI single, which then also scored. Mitch Carlow had singled for Trimarchi as did Nichols, Varno, and Hayer for the Elks. Trimarchi drops 0-5.

Tyler Bissaillon added 2 hits and scored 2 runs. Brandon Tworig, Camden McGrath, and Jake Hall also added hits for the winners. Nine year old Dhandray Sistrunk had his first Little League hit in the 4th inning. Chaise LaBrie and Elias Masse scored runs for the Lumbermen as well.
