North Adams – The Berkshire Guidance Association will award its "Friend to Guidance" award to Denise Richardello, vice president of enrollment management and external relations at Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts on Thurs., May 10, at a spring dinner at Spice Restaurant in Pittsfield.

The award is designated to show appreciation to an individual who has gone the extra mile in his or her work involving the Guidance Association.

"Denise Richardello is a true 'Friend of Guidance,'" said Marietta Rapetti-Chase, an association member and Taconic High School guidance counselor. "She has always been an advocate for our Berkshire County students as former dean of admissions, vice president of external relations for MCLA, a member of the Berkshire
Compact, and more."

In addition to helping include the Berkshire Compact as a topic during an annual county-wide March 15 guidance conference, "Denise, along with her distinguished panelists, provided the group with important information regarding the Compact’s activities," Rapetti-Cawse said. "She is an effective spokesperson for the Compact and continues to cultivate opportunities to promote learning and provide career options to our county residents. Denise is a team player who is a true ambassador for MCLA and the Berkshire Compact."

The Association’s 60 members include guidance counselors and support
staff from public and private schools throughout Berkshire County.
