Let's Do It Again! Girls' Night OutBy Susan Bush 12:17PM / Tuesday, April 17, 2007
North Adams - "We had such a great time a turnout at the first one, we decided to host another Girls' Night Out," said Sharon Leary, community health advocate for the Northern Berkshire Healthcare REACH Community Foundation.
Free Fun And Fittings
The big night is April 30 at the North Adams Regional Hospital main lobby, where, from 5:30 p.m. to 7 :30 p.m., women of all ages are invited to enjoy a mini-makeover, a hand massage, acquire a brassiere fitting, and talk about women's health issues, all at no cost.
There will be opportunity to schedule a mammogram as well.
A REACH For Breast Health initiative is sponsoring the evening, and fitting professionals from Victoria's Secret will be on hand for the bra measuring. The mini-makeovers will be supplied by Clip Shop salon staff, and registered dieticians from NARH will be able to talk about nutrition with those who attend the event.
A previous "Girls Night Out" in October drew a large community response, Leary said.
The event can be especially fun for groups, for example, office co-workers or women who share membership in civic groups or activities may want to participate as a contingent.
Reservations for the "Girls Night Out" may be made by calling 413-664-5326.
