Undefeated Season For Division II Youth Basketball Team

The North Adams Youth Basketball League Division II champs: the undefeated team "Purdue."
North Adams - The North Adams Youth Basketball League Division II champions earned a 2007 youth league division title with an undefeated season.

The league's "Purdue" team is coached by Christopher Rowe and Kyle Rowe. Team members include Michael Barnes, Dylan Walden, Tyler Briggs, Cameron Parrino, Connor Giorgi, Matt Sadlow. Josh Palmer and Nolan Bird. The team ended its' season with 10 wins, no losses.

Additional NAYBL division champs are Division 1: "Wake Forest," with 11 wins and 1 loss, and Division III's "Georgetown," with 11 wins and three losses.

The NAYBL is an all-volunteer recreational basketball league that welcomes players from the city and surrounding communities. Games are hosted at the North Adams Armory beginning in November.

Youth enrolled in grades 1 through 8 participate with the program.

The NAYBL membership is at about 250 players, and the sports program is focused on teamwork, sportsmanship, and basketball knowledge.
