North Adams - Jean Stone, a group benefits insurance broker at True North Financial Services, has earned her Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) designation from the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans and the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
Stone qualified for the designation by passing a series of eight national examinations focused on employee benefits topics and by meeting the Foundation's high standards of business and professional conduct. She will attend the 2007 National CEBS conferment ceremony at the organization's 26th Annual Employee Benefits Symposium in Seattle, WA in September.
A native of Lee, Stone joined True North in 2002 and earned her Group
Benefits and Compensation Management Specialist designation in 2006. She is active in the community, serving as vice president of Berkshire County Kids Place and as a Berkshire Chamber of Commerce Ambassador. She and her husband, Craig, reside in North Adams.
