"Like Home," a new full-length play by Berkshire playwright and popular "Breed 'Em and Weep" blogger Jennifer Mattern, opens at Main Street Stage in North Adams on Friday, April 28th and runs through Mother's Day, May 14th.
There is also a half-price preview performance on Thursday, April 27th. The play has been supported by a grant from the James and Robert Hardman Fund for North Adams of the Berkshire Taconic Community Foundation. Directed by David Lane, the cast of Like Home is Linda White, Spencer Trova, Justina Trova, Alexia Trainor, Michael Trainor, and Bruce T. MacDonald.
"Like Home" is a tragicomic family tale of bad poetry, bumbled choices, and bruised connections. Set in a working-class neighborhood somewhere under the rainbow, the play follows six lonesome characters looking for home in all the wrong places.
Please note: "Like Home" contains strong language.
There's a description of the play at http://mainstreetstage.org, and all the pertinent info (tickets/reservations/etc). It's two acts with an intermission -- the first act lasts about 75 minutes, and the second act about 35.
Tickets are $20, $15 (seniors), and $10 (students). Reservations are encouraged. Main Street Stage is located at 57 Main Street in North Adams, Massachusetts. For reservations or more info, call (413) 663-3240.
