Athlete of the Week: Danielle Racette
Drury's junior point guard Danielle Racette scored just shy of half her team's points on Monday night in a tough 43-42 loss to Pittsfield High School when she scored a game-high 18 points including seven free throws, one three-pointer, while also tallying five rebounds and three assists.
She followed that game up with a team-high eight points in a 31-21 win at Mohawk on Wednesday night when Drury was playing without three of their regular players. She also added four rebounds and seven assists to her stat line.
Racette is a 3-year starter for the Lady Blue Devils and has been a big part of their 7-2 start to the season, leading her team in points (12.6 per game), assists (5.2 per game), and three-pointers (7 total).
