Mount Greylock Boys, Girls Beat Pittsfield

PITTSFIELD, Mass. – Oscar Heeringa earned a 6-0, 6-3 win at No. 1 to lead a singles sweep for the Mount Greylock boys tennis team in a 4-0 win over Pittsfield on Monday.
 
Seventh-grader Anders Tainter earned his first varsity singles win at No. 3, and Ed Strolle won the only other contested match among the boys at second singles.
 
Mount Greylock’s girls beat Pittsfield, 4-1, behind straight-set singles wins from Mia Patrick, Emily Oullette and Amelia Madrigal.
 
The Generals’ doubles tandem of Maelen Alexander and Giana Barscz earned a 6-3, 6-1 win at second doubles.
