GRANBY, Mass. – Ashlyn Lesure and Emma Meczywor scored five goals apiece Wednesday to lead the Hoosac Valley girls lacrosse team to a 22-11 win over Granby.

Lesure also had six assists for an 11-point day, and Reagan Shea and Layla Brooks finished with four and three goals, respectively, as Hoosac Valley won its third straight.

“We came out really flat in the first half and struggled to get into a flow, but the second half was a lot of great things - draws, transition passes and finishing on shots,” Hoosac Valley coach Molly West said. “Ashlyn Lesure stepped up as a leader on the field and her energy was contagious.”

Cami Lavato made nine saves in the Hurricanes’ goal. Kennedy Whitley was credited with two stops in the win.

Hoosac Valley (8-3) goes to Amherst on Friday.
