South County Nighttime Construction Operations
STOCKBRIDGE, Mass. — The Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) is announcing that crews will be performing nighttime paving, guardrail, and bridge repair operations along I-90 eastbound and westbound from Monday night, Sept. 23, through Thursday night, Sept. 26.
Lane closures will be in effect, and traffic will be allowed through the work zones. The schedule for the work and lane closures is as follows:
Otis/Blandford
- Paving operations will be conducted on I-90 eastbound from mile marker 24.0 to 27.0, Monday night, Sept. 23, through Thursday night, Sept. 26, from 6:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. each night, with work concluding by 6:00 a.m. on Friday morning, Sept.27.
- Bridge work will be conducted on I-90 eastbound and westbound at mile marker 22.5, Monday night, Sept.23, through Thursday night, Sept.26, from 7:00 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. each night, with work concluding by 5:30 a.m. on Friday morning, Sept.27.
Stockbridge/West Stockbridge
- Bridge repair work will be conducted on I-90 eastbound and westbound from mile marker 1.0 to 3.0, Monday night, Sept.23, through Thursday night, Sept.26, from 7:00 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. each night, with work concluding by 5:30 a.m. on Friday morning, Sept.27.
- Guardrail work will be conducted on I-90 eastbound from mile marker 5.5 to 8.0, Monday night, Sept.23, through Thursday night, Sept.26, from 7:00 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. each night, with work concluding by 5:30 a.m. on Friday morning, Sept.27.
West Stockbridge
- Bridge repair work will be conducted on I-90 westbound at mile marker 1.3, Monday night, Sept.23, through Thursday night, Sept.26, from 7:00 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. each night, with work concluding by 5:30 a.m. on Friday morning, Sept.27.
Appropriate signage, law enforcement details, and messaging will be in place to guide drivers through the work area.
Drivers traveling through the affected areas should expect delays, reduce speed, and use caution.
