Williamstown Works to Address Water Main Breaks

iBerkshires.com Staff
WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. – The Department of Public Works Wednesday afternoon worked to address two water main breaks on the east end of Main Street.

Both breaks were near the Spruces Park on Main Street (Route 2), and Williamstown Police advised in a social media post that water services in the area could be affected.

Residents signed up for the town’s CodeRED emergency notification system also received a phone call alerting them to the issue.

The water main breaks came on a busy day for emergency services in the town. Wednesday morning, Williamstown Fire Department responded to assist with a house fire on Massachusetts Avenue in North Adams.
