Warmer Temperatures This Labor Day Weekend

It will actually feel like summer this weekend with temperatures in the 80s.
 
Today Thursday, Aug. 31 there will be sunshine with temperatures in the low 70s.
 
The same can be expected Friday but with warmer temperatures in the high 70s, reports AccuWeather.
 
Saturday, Sept. 2 will be partly sunny with temperatures in the low 80s.
 
Sunday will be mostly sunny and more humid with temperatures again in the low 80s.
 
Monday will be in the mid-80s with mostly sunny skies, and Tuesday is set to be even warmer with temperatures possibly breaking into the 90s.

Anderson Leads SteepleCats Past Danbury

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. -- Aedan Anderson went 3-for-4 with a home run and a double Friday to lead the North Adams SteepleCats to a 12-8 win over Danbury, Conn., Westerners in the New England Collegiate Baseball League.
 
The SteepleCats broke a 7-7 tie with a five-run seventh inning on the way to breaking a 13-game losing streak in front of their home fans at Joe Wolfe Field.
 
Monument Mountain's Jayder Raifstanger went 1-for-5 with a pair of RBIs, and Taconic's Sam Sherman also was 1-for-5 at the plate for North Adams.
 
Owen Fox earned the win on the mound with 2 and two-thirds innings of work in relief.
 
North Adams (13-26) travels to Holyoke on Saturday for a double-header against the Valley Blue Sox.
