NORTH ADAMS, Mass. – Samuel Tackett went 4-for-5 with a double and three runs batted in on Friday to lead the North Adams SteepleCats to a 9-1 win over the Valley Blue Sox in New England Collegiate Baseball League action at Joe Wolfe Field.

 

Cedric Rose finished 2-for-4 with an RBI in a seven-hit attack for North Adams, which scored seven runs in the second inning to take control of the game.

 

Jonathan Peterson earned the win in relief, striking out five hitters in two innings of work. Starter Julien Hernandez did not allow a run in four innings of work.

 

North Adams (8-17) travels to play the Vermont Mountaineers on Saturday.
