DALTON, Mass. – Brayden Durant hit a two-run home run Thursday to help the Adams-Cheshire Little League 12-year-old All-Stars to a 6-5 win over the Pittsfield Little League National Division in the Don Gleason District 1 Tournament at Chamberlain Park.
Mikey Durant drove in a pair of runs for Adams-Cheshire, which improved to 2-0 in round robin play in the five-team tournament.
Julius Valentine earned the win on the mound with 4 and a third innings pitched. Carson Kelly Phillips picked up the save.
Adams Cheshire goes to Clapp Park in Pittsfield on Friday to face the Pittsfield Americans (1-0) at 5:30.
The Nats (0-2) are back in Dalton on Friday night to face host Dalton-Hinsdale (1-0).

Middleboro Edges Post 68 Juniors at State Tourney

MIDDLEBOROUGH, Mass. – Brady Bouldry struck out nine and allowed three hits Saturday to lead the Middleboro Post 64 Juniors to a 2-0 win over Pittsfield Post 68 at the American Legion State Tournament.
Bouldry went the distance on the mound, walking two, to earn the tournament hosts a date with Swampscott Post 57 on Sunday night in the winners’ bracket of the double-elimination tournament.
Gavin O’Donnell tripled, and Ethan O’Donnell and Jason Codey each had a hit for Pittsfield.
The O’Donnell brothers also split time on the mound, striking out eight, walking two and allowing one earned run.
Post 68 plays Sandwich Post 188 on Sunday at 1 p.m.
