WHITE RIVER JUNCTION, Vt. -- Cedric Rose homered and drove in a pair of runs Friday as the North Adams SteepleCats beat the Upper Valley Nighthawks in the New England Collegiate Baseball League.
The Taconic High School graduate raised his batting average to .273 in three games this season for the SteepleCats as North Adams won its fourth straight game.
Samuel Tackett went 2-for-4 with a home run and six RBIs, and Tremayne Cobb Jr. went 3-for-4 in a 14-hit attack.
Nathaniel Chudy struck out nine and allowed one run in five innings to earn the win on the mound.
North Adams (5-12) goes to Danbury, Conn., for a double-header on Saturday.
