BRISTOL, Conn. -- Brent Hodgdon struck out five in the ninth and 10th innings to lead the North Adams SteepleCats to a 2-1 win over Bristol on Saturday night.
Hodgdon struck out the side in the 10th to leave the "ghost runner" stranded and secure the SteepleCats' second straight victory.
D.M. Jefferson hit a solo home run in the fifth inning to give North Adams the lead.
The SteepleCats (3-12) return to New England Collegiate Baseball League action on Sunday on Monday when the host the Keene, N.H., Swamp Bats at Joe Wolfe Field.
