LENOX, Mass. -- Three Berkshire County Youth Soccer League teams have qualified for the Massachusettts Tournament of Champions this weekend in Lancaster.
Two girls teams and one boys team are advancing to the state tourney based on their performance throughout the spring: the 7th- and 8th-grade Lenox Gold girls, the 5th- and 6th-grade North Adams Breakers girls and the 5th- and 6th-grade Williamstown Vipers boys.
The BCYSL held its season-ending tournament on Saturday at Lenox Memorial Middle and High School, with championships decided in seven different groups.
Winners included:
Boys 5/6 B-Cup - Williamstown 1, Lenox 1 (Williamstown wins on penalty kicks).
Girls 5/6 B-Cup - Berkshire Hills Dash 2, Berkshire Hills Red Stars 0.
Girls 5/6 MTOC - Williamstown 1, Pittsfield 0.
Boys 5/6 MTOC - Berkshire Hills 6, Williamstown 4.
Boys 7/8 B Cup - North Adams 1, Dalton 0.
Girls 7/8 MTOC - Berkshire Hills 2, Lenox 1.
Boys 7/8 MTOC - Pittsfield 2, Berkshire Hills 1.
