NORTH ADAMS, Mass. -- Sanford scored two runs in the top of the ninth to earn a 2-1 win over North Adams in New England Collegiate Baseball League action on Tuesday.
Jeremiah Jenkins hit a two-out, two-run home run to erase a one-run deficit for the Mainers.
Samuel Tackett had given the SteepleCats the lead with a solo home run in the sixth.
Dominick Marcoccio started for North Adams and went six innings, striking out seven and allowing three hits.
The SteepleCats (1-4) go to Newport on Wednesday.
