DALTON, Mass. — The Community Recreation Association (CRA) will be holding a Food Drive on Sunday, March 12, from 9 am to 12 pm to benefit neighbors in need.
The drive will be held at the Community House, 400 Main Street. Donations collected during the drive will support local food banks.

CRA Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony Set

DALTON, Mass. -- Tickets are on sale now for the 2024 Dalton CRA Hall of Fame induction ceremony.
The event is scheduled for Sunday, Sept. 8, at 1 p.m. at the Stationery Factory.
The Class of 2024 for the Dalton CRA Hall of Fame includes:
Teams - 1943 Dalton High School baseball team, 1985 Wahconah gymnastics team and 2005 Wahconah golf team.
Coaches - Jim Walton, Eileen Moynihan and Dustin Belcher.
Contributors - Archie DeAngelus, Charles DeAngelus and Louie Allegrone, Sr.
Athletes - Frank Dwyer, William “Mickey” Glendon, Tim Cripps, Glenn Campbell, Sweep Voll, Jamie Chisum and Aliah Curry.
The game-winning rally started when Pittsfield junior Jack Abel led off by crushing a 1-1 pitch to left-center and racing all the way to third base, sliding in just ahead of the tag to give the Generals a sterling scoring opportunity. click for more
The Pittsfield baseball team Saturday rallied for five runs in the top of the sixth inning to break a 5-5 tie and went on to a 12-5 win over Clinton in the quarter-finals of the Division 4 State Tournament. click for more
Amanda Pou was named the most valuable player of the regional final after striking out four and walking none in a complete-game effort in the circle. She also ripped a two-run double in Pittsfield’s four-run fourth-inning rally to break open a scoreless game. click for more
