Lenox Library to Host Winter Birds Programs with Mass Audubon
LENOX, Mass. — The Lenox Library will partner with Mass Audubon to present a two-part program series exploring the survival adaptations of the wintering birds of Berkshire County.
First, on Thursday, Dec. 15, 2022, from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., Laura Beltran, a Teacher-Naturalist with Mass Audubon, will present an online program discussing which birds spend their winters in the area as well as how they find food and how they stay warm.
Then, on Saturday, Dec. 17, 2022, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., Dale Abrams, Regional Education Manager for Mass Audubon West, will lead a bird walk starting at the Lenox Library, 18 Main Street, and walk through town to find winter birds and provide identification tips. From birds at your feeder to the sparrows in the field, the program will explore the wintry world of birds in the Berkshires.
