South Berkshire voters cast their ballots on Tuesday to chose Leigh Davis as the new Third Berkshire District state representative.
With a handful of precincts not yet reporting, Davis was leading opponent Marybeth Mitts by 12,603 votes to 9,480, winning 55.5 percent of the vote at as the clock struck midnight.
On Nov. 5, voters will decide who is most qualified to push the community forward as the next Third Berkshire District state representative.
