The committee will propose amendments to Article 2 Section 9C, Charter Objection, to allow for discussion, require three supporters, and be prohibited when it pertains to the proposed budget for the upcoming fiscal year.
The newly reconvened Charter Review Committee began its work last week with a conversation about the charter objection, a motion that has delayed votes and created a stir in council chambers over the last term.
President Peter Marchetti pleaded for him to reconsider the motions, as these costs will become taxpayers' burden if they are not appropriated by the end of the fiscal year on Friday.
